Oxford Semiconductor network attached storage controller selected for Western Digital's award-winning MyBook™ World Edition™

MILPITAS, Calif., August 1, 2007-A Network Attached Storage controller from Oxford Semiconductor Inc, a leading provider of high performance storage and connectivity solutions, is a key technology behind the award winning My Book™ World Edition™ storage appliances  from Western Digital.  Integrating Ethernet MAC and PCI ports, the OXE800 NAS controller is accessible to client devices connected via Ethernet and offers a seamless, high-performance, direct interface to up to two SATA disk drives to enable remote access and secure sharing of digital content.  The My Book™ World Edition™ storage appliances were recently voted ‘The Best of RetailVision®' in the best product peripheral category by top technology retailers in North America.  Best of RetailVision™ awards winners are selected by decision makers from top-100-level retailers who buy over $60 billion worth of products each year.
